IMPACTING OUR COMMUNITY

  • Visiting Nursing Homes- In the fall, we plan a date for our entire school to visit local nursing homes.  We have had opportunities to play bingo, plant flowers, paint fingernails, deliver cards and sing to the residents.  This day is loved by so many of our students, and we feel honored to show Christ's love to these special people.

  • Donations to Strong Life Rescue Mission- This a local ministry to the homeless in the Hickory area.  We collect items that the Life House needs in order to minister to the large homeless community in our area.

  • Pregnancy Care Center Baby Shower-  We love throwing baby showers!  We get to shower ladies from the Pregnancy Care Center with items they need as they prepare to have their babies.  Cake, punch and silly baby shower games make this a fun day.

IMPACTING THE WORLD

Each year, CFA packs boxes for Operation Christmas Child.  Our families purchase items to fill the boxes, and students pair up and choose items for each box.  The students then pray over each box packed.  This year we packed 309 boxes!  We are thankful to be able to participate in this event each year.

More than 250 students, staff and parents have been on short term mission trips in the United States and abroad. CFA families have gone on mission trips to minister in orphanages, to feed starving children, to train teachers, to help plant churches, to support Bible Colleges, to conduct medical clinics, to provide relief for natural disasters, to help staff in youth ministry work, to teach discipleship-making ministries, to evangelize, to teach about biblical parenting, to support native missionaries and their families, to participate in community outreaches ,and to provide clothing, school supplies, and other items to those in need.

CFA has hosted 38 international students from 14 foreign countries.

CFA students, parents and staff have had direct ministry involvement in more than 50 countries including:
